Diggly is The Muse, The Name and The Paws behind The Digglyshire brand. He believes that life can’t get any better when you get the most wonderful treats (for Diggly to keep going) , the best natural fibres and, through the magic of alchemy , adding love and colour, you can actually knit your dream.
Diggly and his mystical dyer are delighted to share with you their love for the finer things in life-the best natural hand dyed yarns, the most beautiful hand painted fabrics, the rarest bespoke project bags and accessories as well as their fantastic knitting , sock and hand gauges.
And with Paws on their Hearts they can say- if you can dream a colour, we can dye it.
It’s now a tradition of many years for them to give away one (or more) of their lovely products as a free gift to one lucky knitter every time they go Live.
We specialise in natural fibres, traceable and sustainable sources and an increasing recycled fibre and yarn section. We stock heritage brands including Jamieson of Shetland, Hedgehog Fibres, Jamieson and Smith, Lopi, Laine, Pom Pom magazines and book and all Marie Wallin and Kate Davies Designs books. In addition we design our own range of patterns and kits and dye, natural dye and hand paint our own yarns and fibres. We send all over the world and love seeing customers in store, everyone is welcome.
My name is Wendy and I am the Dyer behind Yellow Van Yarns and I am super excited to be taking part in my first Cambridge yarn Festival.
The inspiration comes from my Filipino heritage and the places that I have travelled to in our yellow 1976 VW camper van, affectionately named Darren. I love working with bold colours and seeing how they work together to create something unique.
My Mabuhay Collection is a showcase of the bold colours of the Philippines and I hope that after seeing some of the collection, it might inspire you to visit some of their 7000 islands.
In the meantime I will provide great quality yarn for your creations and projects.
